Darby is an old man that tries to help Vexx. Voiced by Brian Cox.
Helping Vexx
When Darby found Vexx he thought he was dead. When he awoke, he explained how Vexx needed to find Wraithhearts. He then helped Vexx by giving him information. He says Shadow Wraiths can take any form, and tells Vexx to trust no one on his journey.
Being Revealed
A while later, when Vexx collects 26 Wraithhearts, it is revealed Darby is really Dark Yabu, and has actually tricked him into helping him devour Astara.
